More Than Mobility: The True Mission of Erasmus+

When people hear "Erasmus+," they often think of student exchanges. While this mobility is crucial, the program's overall objective is much broader and directly relevant to corporate social strategy: to support sustainable growth, quality jobs, social cohesion, and driving innovation across Europe.

The EDI4CSR project is co-funded by Erasmus+ because our work on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in the workplace directly addresses these high-level EU goals. By defining EDI as a core part of CSR, we ensure that social responsibility moves beyond philanthropy to focus on internal fairness.

The EU’s Horizontal Priorities: A Roadmap for CSR

The European Commission sets annual horizontal priorities for the Erasmus+ programme, signaling where EU investment is most critical. For organizations, these priorities function as an official roadmap for what constitutes valuable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR):

When a company commits to a strong EDI strategy, it is not just improving its internal culture; it is actively aligning with the core social and economic mission of the European Union. This alignment demonstrates that your CSR is meaningful, proactive, and future-oriented.

We integrate Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) into adult education, non-profits, and SMEs to create equitable workplaces. Through the "EDI as a CSR: Navigating Future-Ready Workspaces with DDAL" project, we develop and share innovative practices.
